Second Tension is a project by Stavros Tilkeridis, a Greek artist and DJ. Stavros started creating music back in the early nineties, with next to no access to the outside world. He started with tape loops, not too dissimilar to those by Pierre Schaffer, and got his hands on his first sampler, Mpc 2000xl, by the late nineties. Stavros was introduced to rave culture in the early two-thousands and experimented his way through them, using his music to search for a deeper, hidden meaning. He started Second Tension in 2016 as an attempt to capture a progressive spirit in electronic music, combining primitive and industrial aesthetics. With 2 EPs and an LP, Second Tension has been released on labels such as Persephonic Sirens, OSM Tapes, Clan Destine and Monolith.
